ಎರಡು ದಿನಗಳ ಬ್ಯಾಂಕಿಂಗ್ ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆ ತರಬೇತಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಾರ – 2025

ದಿನಾಂಕ 24-03-2025 ಸೋಮವಾರ ರಂದು ನಮ್ಮ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಸಭಾಂಗಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಎರಡು ದಿನಗಳ ಬ್ಯಾಂಕಿಂಗ್ ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆ ತರಬೇತಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಾರವನ್ನು ಹಮ್ಮಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾಯಿತು. ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಸಂಪನ್ಮೂಲ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯಾಗಿ ಶ್ರೀಯುತ ಆರ್.ಕೆ. ಬಾಲಚಂದ್ರನ್ ಅವರು ಆಗಮಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿಗಳಾಗಿ ಸುಬ್ರಹ್ಮಣ್ಯ ಭಾವೆ (ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಬ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ರೀಜಿನಲ್ ಮ್ಯಾನೇಜರ್) ಹಾಗೂ ವಿಜಯವಾಣಿ ಪತ್ರಿಕೆಯ ಮಾಜಿ ಸಂಪಾದಕರಾದ ಮಂಜುನಾಥ್ ಅವರು ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು.

ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿಗಳಾದ ನಳಿನಿ ಡಿ’ಸಾ, ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲರಾದ ಶ್ರೀಯುತ ಉಲ್ಲಾಸ್ ಇ.ಜಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಬೋಧಕ ಮತ್ತು ಬೋಧಕೇತರ ವರ್ಗದವರು ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದರು. ಮಾಧ್ಯಮ ಮಿತ್ರರ ಸಮ್ಮುಖದಲ್ಲಿ ದೀಪ ಬೆಳಗುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಕ್ಕೆ ಚಾಲನೆ ನೀಡಲಾಯಿತು.

ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿಗಳಾದ ಸುಬ್ರಹ್ಮಣ್ಯ ಭಾವೆ ಅವರು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಜೀವನದಲ್ಲಿ ಜ್ಞಾನವು ಕತ್ತಲೆಯಿಂದ ಬೆಳಕಿನ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಕೊಂಡೊಯ್ಯುವ ಮಾರ್ಗವೆಂದು ಪ್ರೇರಣಾದಾಯಕ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಹೇಳಿದರು.

ದ್ವಿತೀಯ ಬಿ.ಕಾಂ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿ ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯ ಅವರು ಆರ್.ಕೆ. ಬಾಲಚಂದ್ರನ್ ಅವರ ಕಿರು ಪರಿಚಯವನ್ನು ನೀಡಿದರು. ನಂತರ ಆರ್.ಕೆ. ಬಾಲಚಂದ್ರನ್ ಅವರು ಕಾರ್ಯಗಾರವನ್ನು ಆರಂಭಿಸಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸಂವಾದ ನಡೆಸಿದರು. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ನೆನಪಿನ ಶಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಪರೀಕ್ಷಿಸಲು ಹಲವು ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ಅವರಿಂದ ಉತ್ತರಗಳನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯಲಾಯಿತು.

ಬೆಳಗ್ಗೆ 10:30 ರಿಂದ 12:30 ರವರೆಗೆ ಈ ವಿಷಯಗಳನ್ನು ಚರ್ಚಿಸಲಾಯಿತು:

ಮಧ್ಯಾಹ್ನದ ಅಧಿವೇಶನದಲ್ಲಿ:

• Prelims ಮತ್ತು Mains ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆಗಳ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆಗಳ ಮಾದರಿ

ಇವುಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ವಿವರವಾಗಿ ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.

ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಕೊನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಆರ್.ಕೆ. ಬಾಲಚಂದ್ರನ್ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿಗಳಾದ ನಳಿನಿ ಡಿ’ಸಾ ಅವರು ಸನ್ಮಾನ ಮಾಡಿದರು. ಈ ಮೂಲಕ ಎರಡು ದಿನಗಳ ಬ್ಯಾಂಕಿಂಗ್ ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆ ತರಬೇತಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಾರವನ್ನು ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿ ಸಮಾಪಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.

Student Union Election Report 2025-26

Student Union elections were held in our college on Friday and Saturday, 01-08-2025 and 02-08-2025.

The election function was presided over by the Principal of the College, Ullas E.G. All the lecturers of the Commerce, Computer Science and Language departments of the college were present on this occasion.

The election process was initiated by issuing a notification on 22-07-2025.(Content-01)

Our letter was distributed on 23-07-2025. 26-07-2025 was the last date for filing nominations. The class office bearers of the student union were elected through elections from 1:00 PM on Friday, 01-08-2025. The student union office bearers were elected through elections on Saturday, 02-08-2025.

The election process was concluded with the election of the following student union office bearers. The election was opened by congratulating the elected students on behalf of the college and the administration.

ಕ್ಯಾಂಪಸ್ ಕಟ್ಟೆ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ – 24-10-2025

ದಿನಾಂಕ 24-10-2025 ರಂದು ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ 10:00 ಗಂಟೆಗೆ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಭದ್ರಾವತಿ ಆಕಾಶವಾಣಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರದಿಂದ “ಕ್ಯಾಂಪಸ್ ಕಟ್ಟೆ” ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಆಯೋಜಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವು FM 103.5 MHz ಮತ್ತು MW 675 KHz ಬಾನುಲಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರದಿಂದ ನೇರವಾಗಿ ಪ್ರಸಾರವಾಯಿತು.

“ಕ್ಯಾಂಪಸ್ ಕಟ್ಟೆ” ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವು ಒಂದು ವಿಶೇಷ ರೀತಿಯ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಆಯೋಜಕರು ಕಾಲೇಜುಗಳಿಗೆ ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡಿ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಇರುವ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಂದ ಕೆಲವು ಸಾಧಕರನ್ನು ಜನರಿಗೆ ಪರಿಚಯಿಸುವ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವಾಗಿರುತ್ತದೆ.

ಅದರಂತೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಕೆಳಕಂಡ ಪದ್ಮಭೂಷಣ ಪುರಸ್ಕೃತ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಪರಿಚಯಿಸಿದರು.

ಮುಂದುವರೆದು ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲರಾದ ಉಲ್ಲಾಸ್ ಇ.ಜಿ ಅವರು, ಕನ್ನಡ ವಿಭಾಗದ ಉಪನ್ಯಾಸಕರು ಹಾಗೂ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಸಂಯೋಜಕರಾದ ರಶ್ಮಿ ಎಲ್.ಜಿ ಅವರು ಹಾಗೂ ಕ್ಯಾಂಪಸ್ ಕಟ್ಟೆ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ನಿರೂಪಕರಾದ ಬಸವರಾಜ್ ಗುಬ್ಬಿ ಅವರು ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು. ಒಂದು ಗಂಟೆಯ ನೇರ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿ ನೆರವೇರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.

Kargil Vijay Diwas 2025-26

“Kargil Vijay Diwas” was celebrated with great enthusiasm in our college on Saturday, 26-07-2025, to commemorate the valour and sacrifice of the country’s soldiers. The program was presided over by the Principal of the college, Ullas E.G.

On this occasion, the notice board was decorated with patriotic pictures and posters by the students of our college.

At the end of the program, a video clip related to the Kargil War was shown to pay tribute to the soldiers and instill the values of patriotism and unity among the students.

A poster making competition was organized in the college as part of Kargil Vijay Diwas. The college principal, Ullas E.G., NSS program officers, faculty members and students were present in the event.

79th Independence Day Celebrations

The 79th Independence Day was celebrated in the college on Friday, 15-08-2025. The program started at 9:00 AM in the college premises.

First, the students of the college’s NSS band set welcomed the secretary of the Institution, Nalini D’Sa, and the Principal, Ullas E. G., with the sound of  band set.

The National flag was hoisted and saluted under the leadership of the secretary of the institution, Nalini D’Sa, the principal, Ullas E. G, and the office bearers of the student union. Then the National Anthem and the State Anthem were solemnly sung by everyone.

II B.C.A student Jarnain Banu, III B.Com student Puneeth P.M, I B.C.A. students Suha Fathima and Vismaya H.V. delivered inspiring short speeches on the lives of the fighters who sacrificed for the country, the path to Independence, and the duties of responsible citizens.

Students presented patriotic songs, dances, and plays reflecting the events of the freedom struggle.

The faculty, staff, and all the students of the college played a major role in making the program a success.

Volleyball and Throwball Sports Meet 2025-26

On Saturday, 23-08-2025, the NSS unit of our college organized volleyball and football games for the students as part of the International Sports Day celebrations.

The program was presided over by the Principal, Ullas E.G. The Principal inaugurated the program. The students showed their best sportsmanship. In the volleyball match, Charan A, III B.Com student, and his team won the first prize. Jayanth R , I B.CA student, and his team won the second prize.

Similarly, the students played Throwball. In this match, D.G. Shreya Shastri, I B.CA student, and her team won the first prize and Chandana M.R., I B.Com student, and her team won the second prize. The winning students were honoured with medals by the NSS unit.

Finally, the NSS unit provided cool drinks to the students.

“CARV”

The Sahyadri Institute of Commerce formally Inaugurated its multilingual Language Club “CARV” On 25 November 2025. The Club aims to enhance Linguistics Competence, Promote Cultural Literacy and Create an inclusive Platform for academic enrichment across Kannada, English, Hindi and Urdu.

The Programme Commenced with the dignified Lighting of the Ceremonial  lamp by Smt. Nalini D’sa Secretary of the institution Symbolizing Knowledge, harmony and enlightenment. Dr Ullas E.G Principal who also participated in the Lamp -lighting Ceremony and delivered an insightful address emphasising the importance of linguistic diversity in holistic education. he encouraged Students to utilize the Club as a Space for intellectual growth and Creative expression.

As Part of the event, Students Presented ‘Historical Models’, Poster of eminent writers from all languages and an intricately designed Royal Emblem Rangoli, Reflecting their Creativity and Commitment to Celebrating India’s rich multilingual heritage.

The Programme witnessed active involvement from Students Co-Ordinator’s, Faculty members and participants. The Successful Inuguration of ‘CARV’ Marks an Important Step toward fostering a Vibrant Culture of language of language learning and Literacy appreciation within the Institution.

ABHYUDAYA-2025

The Intra College Competition was held on 28^th and 29th November 2025 at Sahyadri Institute of Commerce. The Programme was Conducted under IQAC and Chamber of Commerce Under the guidance of Principal Ullas E.G, The event was inaugurated by lighting the lamp by secretary Smt. Nalini D’sa, Principal Ullas E.G and faculties of Commerce Department.

The Principal welcomed and wishes the students and explained the rules & intention of each competition (Brand Tag, Build-A-Biz, The Art Collab, Local Legends, Battle of Minds.

The Competitions Conducted on 28-11-2025, Friday are

1. Brand Tag (11:30 AM – 01:00 PM)

Students prepared PPTs, and created innovate advertisement Showering their marketing Skills and creativity in launching the banned products. The 4 teams Participated & 3teams won.

2. Build-A-Biz (01:30 PM -3:30PM)

Participants presented startup business ideas with products. Total teams were participated, 3 teams were declared winners.

3. The Art Collab (12:30 PM -1.30 PM)

Students created a poster on CSR’s and explained their Art Collab to Judges. 7 teams were  participated 3 teams won

The Competitions Conducted on 29-11-2025, Saturday

1. Local Legends (11:00 AM -12:30 PM)

Participants Created Video content Showcasing local businesse and highlighting the achievements of local heroes In 4 teams, 3 teams won.

2. Battle of Minds (1:00 PM – 02:00PM)

It was conducted on the topic ‘Cash V/S Digital Payment’, ‘Cost and Value of Higher Education’. A total of 6 teams participated & 3 teams were declared winners. one team Spoke ‘far’ the topic and another Spoke ‘against’ it. The winners are

Judgements of all competitions was done under the criteria of creativity, presentation, feasibility, visual appeal, Analytical thinking etc.

In Two-day Intra College Competitions, Students actively participated, showcased their talent, creativity and Team work.

Date: 23-January-2026

The Government of Karnataka, in collaboration with the Federation of Karnataka Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FKCCI), organized a state-level Business Plan Presentation Competition titled FKCCI INNO–Manthan. With the objective of creating awareness about the competition and encouraging student participation, an inaugural programme was conducted on 23 January 2026 at Sahyadri Institute of Commerce, Chikkamagaluru.

The programme commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries. The resource person for the event was Chartered Accountant CA Shubha Ganesh, who delivered an insightful session on the importance of entrepreneurship, the challenges faced by entrepreneurs, and the significance of developing a strong and viable business plan. Her address was highly informative and motivational for the students.

The programme was presided over by Mrs. Nalini D’Sa, Chairperson of the Institution, who guided the event with her leadership and support. Mr. Ullas E.G, Principal of the College, addressed the gathering and emphasized the importance of entrepreneurial thinking, innovation, and creativity among students. He encouraged students to develop problem-solving skills, take initiative, and actively participate in platforms such as FKCCI INNO–Manthan to transform their ideas into successful business ventures.

Mr. Shantaram Hegde, President of CCI, Chikkamagaluru, and Vice President, Department of English, IDSJ College, Chikkamagaluru, was present on the dais and extended his support to the programme. Mr. Mahesh G. P., District Coordinator of INNO–Manthan, was also present and contributed to the successful conduct of the programme.

The programme concluded successfully with active participation from students and faculty members, inspiring students to explore entrepreneurship and innovative business ideas.

The programme was compered by Ms. Suha Fathima. The welcome address was delivered by Ms. Manavi, followed by the guest introduction by Ms. Aishwarya C. E. The vote of thanks was proposed by Ms. Varshini J., and the programme began with a prayer song rendered by Ms. Tulasi priya and her team.
